Twin Valley Raiders Advance to Semifinals with Dominant Victory Over West Perry

Twin Valley continued its impressive undefeated season by defeating West Perry 55-15 in the quarterfinals of the District 3 Class 4A playoffs. The third-seeded Raiders, now boasting an 11-0 record, showcased their dominance on the field, securing a place in the semifinals against the winner of the match between West York and Middletown.

Running back Drew Engle was the standout performer for Twin Valley, scoring five touchdowns during the game. The Raiders have largely cruised through their season, with their only close contest occurring in a 28-6 victory over Wyomissing. All other ten wins have been decisive, contributing to their claim of the LL Section 4 title.

According to rankings compiled by Eric Epler of Pennlive.com, Twin Valley is the top-ranked team in the state for Class 4A. The Raiders have consistently put points on the board, scoring 40 or more in all of their games except for the bout against Wyomissing. Notably, they have reached the 60-point mark in five different contests this season.

This year”s district playoff appearance marks a significant milestone for Twin Valley, as they have never competed in a district title game before. Their first entry into the district tournament was in 2021, and they currently hold a 4-4 record in postseason play.
