Jonathan Owens Launches Charitable Initiative in Chicago Community

Jonathan Owens, the husband of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and a safety for the Chicago Bears, has made a significant impact in his community through a charitable initiative. Following the Bears” recent victory over the New York Giants with a score of 24-20, Owens participated in a large distribution drive in Chicago aimed at making a positive difference ahead of Thanksgiving.

The official Instagram account of the Chicago Bears featured a reel where Owens announced his involvement in this charitable cause. In the clip, he expressed his commitment to supporting the community during this festive season.

This charitable act comes as Owens prepares for the Bears” upcoming matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on November 16. Meanwhile, Simone Biles has been vocal about how her future in gymnastics, including her potential return to the Olympics, is influenced by family considerations and the support of her husband.

In a conversation with Sports Illustrated earlier this year, Biles indicated that her decisions regarding the 2028 Olympics would heavily rely on her relationship with Owens. He had previously been in Paris to cheer for her during the last Olympic Games, joined by Biles” adoptive parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles.

As Biles contemplates her future in gymnastics, she has neither confirmed nor denied her participation in the upcoming Los Angeles Olympics. If she competes, she will be 31 years old, which would make her one of the oldest American female gymnasts to take part in the Olympics since Marian Barone, who was 28 during the 1952 Helsinki Games.
