In a thrilling matchup on Thursday night, Jordan Eberle propelled the Seattle Kraken to a 5-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. Eberle broke a tie midway through the third period and added an empty-net goal to secure the win.
The pivotal moment came at 7:21 in the third when Eberle found the back of the net to put the Kraken ahead. Earlier in the period, Eeli Tolvanen had tied the game at 3 with a powerful one-timer from the right circle during a power play.
Along with Eberle”s contributions, Kaapo Kakko and Vince Dunn also scored for Seattle, while Dunn and Matty Beniers each provided two assists. In goal, Phillip Grubauer made 23 saves, stepping in for the injured Joey Daccord.
For the Jets, Mark Scheifele had a standout performance with a goal and an assist. Alex Iafallo and Kyle Connor also scored, but Winnipeg struggled, falling to a record of 1-4 on their current six-game road trip. Connor Hellebuyck managed 13 saves in the loss.
Eberle”s empty-netter with just 1:55 remaining marked his seventh goal of the season, leading the team in scoring. This performance follows his two-goal outing against Edmonton on October 25.
Looking ahead, the Jets will face the Calgary Flames on Saturday night, while the Kraken prepare to host the San Jose Sharks on the same evening.
