Montesano Teams Advance in State Tournaments; Wishkah Valley Claims Championship

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the Montesano girls soccer and football teams achieved significant victories in their respective state tournaments, while Wishkah Valley secured the championship in 6-man football.

In the 1A State Tournament quarterfinals, the Montesano girls soccer team faced off against the No. 5 ranked Cashmere. Montesano emerged victorious with a score of 1-0, thereby advancing to the state Final Four for the fourth time in five years.

In football, the Montesano squad showcased their strength in the 1A State Tournament first-round game against No. 12 Tenino, winning decisively with a score of 49-7. This victory propels Montesano into the quarterfinals, where they will compete against No. 4 Lynden Christian.

In other notable matchups, the 2B State Tournament saw No. 14 Pe Ell-Willapa Valley fall to No. 3 Tri-Cities Prep with a score of 56-0. Meanwhile, in the 1B State Tournament, No. 16 Ocosta was defeated by No. 1 DeSales, who won 56-16.
