Starting Thursday, the state of Tennessee will witness the crowning of nine high school football champions during the 56th annual Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) championships, widely known as the BlueCross Bowl. The event will take place at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga and will continue through Saturday.
The championship schedule kicks off on Thursday with three title games in Division II. The first matchup features Franklin Road Academy against Battle Ground Academy in the Division II-AA final at 11 AM. Following that, Jared Curtis, a highly touted quarterback who recently committed to Vanderbilt after decommitting from Georgia, will lead his team, Nashville Christian (11-1), against University School of Jackson in the Division II-A championship at 3 PM.
The Division II-AAA title game will wrap up Thursday”s action with Chattanooga Baylor taking on Brentwood Academy at 7 PM. This game will spotlight junior running back David Gabriel Georges, a leading prospect in the national Class of 2027 rankings.
Friday will feature three additional championship matchups. The Class 3A title will see Gatlinburg-Pittman face off against Westview at 11 AM, followed by the Class 1A championship between South Pittsburg and McKenzie at 3 PM. The day will conclude with the Class 5A title game, where Sevier County will meet Page at 7 PM.
On Saturday, the championships will culminate with three more games. The Class 4A title will kick off at 11 AM featuring Alcoa against Pearl-Cohn. The Class 2A championship will follow with Marion County facing Huntingdon at 3 PM, and the final game of the BlueCross Bowl will be the Class 6A clash between Oakland and Ravenwood at 7 PM.
