Quincy Williams continues to showcase his talent for the New York Jets despite the team”s struggles, as evidenced by his performance in a recent 34-10 defeat against the Miami Dolphins at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Since his return from injured reserve, following a shoulder injury sustained during a game against Tampa Bay, Williams has played with urgency and determination. Although the Jets have not been able to translate his efforts into a winning record—holding a 3-3 mark since his comeback—his individual statistics have improved significantly.
In the game against Miami, Williams recorded seven tackles, including two solo efforts, a sack, and a quarterback hit. Over the last five games, he has tallied 37 tackles, bringing his season total to 59. While this figure falls short of his previous seasons, where he consistently surpassed the 100 tackle mark, Williams remains a key player for the Jets.
With four games remaining in the season, the prospects of an AFC playoff berth for the Jets appear slim. Nevertheless, Williams” contributions on the field highlight his commitment and skill, reinforcing his status as a former star at Murray State and a 2023 All-Pro selection.
