Angelo Adame made history for the Matilda Torres football team as he rushed for over 300 yards in a game, a feat his predecessors Joseph Bass and Amani Sua could not achieve. In the annual Rodeo Bowl held on Thursday, Adame played a pivotal role in leading the Toros to a commanding 49-16 victory against the Madera South Stallions.
During the game, Adame carried the ball 32 times, accumulating an impressive 324 rushing yards and finding the end zone five times. His performance was remarkable, averaging 10.1 yards per carry, with 15 of those carries resulting in first downs. Notably, he made three rushes that exceeded 20 yards, including a standout run of 78 yards.
The overall performance of the team was equally impressive, as the Toros collectively rushed for 429 yards and amassed a total of 522 yards of offense, achieving 28 first downs throughout the game. This victory not only highlighted Adame”s individual talent but also showcased the strength of the entire Torres team.
