Kenyon Garner Named AFCA First Team All-America for 2025 Season

Kenyon Garner, the standout defensive lineman from Livingstone College, has achieved a significant milestone by being selected for the AFCA Division II Coaches” All-America first team for the 2025 season. This accolade highlights his exceptional performance throughout the year.

The sophomore athlete, hailing from Okeechobee, Florida, was also honored as the Willie Davis Defensive Player of the Year by BOXTOROW. Garner”s statistics speak volumes about his dominance on the field; he led the nation with an impressive 28 tackles for loss and 15 sacks.

In addition to these remarkable figures, he concluded the season with a total of 55 tackles, which included 39 solo efforts. Garner not only excelled in tackles but also made a significant impact in creating turnovers, tying for the league lead with three forced fumbles. His defensive prowess was further complemented by two fumble recoveries and a safety.

Garner”s success has drawn the attention of major programs, and he has announced his decision to transfer to Florida Atlantic University. Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 230 pounds, he carries two additional years of eligibility, making him a valuable asset for his new team.
