Former Tyrone goalkeeper Lorcan Quinn has made a significant advancement in his American football career by transferring to the prestigious University of Alabama. Originally from Donaghmore, Quinn joined Marshall”s special teams last May after being recognized as the top kicker by the well-respected Kohl”s Kicking Academy. His transition to Alabama, home to one of the most formidable college football programs in the nation, highlights the growing confidence in Irish kickers in American football.
Quinn, now 23 years old, is another talent to have emerged from the Leader Kicking Programme, having shifted his career focus to the sport. He will compete with Alabama”s current starting kicker, Conor Talty, as he aims to secure his place on the team.
