In a remarkable display of offensive prowess, the Prince Albert Raiders triumphed over the Victoria Royals with a stunning score of 12-2 on Tuesday night. This victory follows a recent win that ended a 19-game winning streak for one of the league”s top teams, further solidifying the Raiders” position as a force to be reckoned with.
The scoring frenzy began early in the first period on a power play at the 4:17 mark. Jonah Sivertson passed the puck to Brock Cripps, who then set up Justice Christensen for a powerful one-timer, resulting in his 12th goal of the season. Just over five minutes later, at the 9:47 mark, the Raiders extended their lead. Aiden Oiring retrieved the puck from the corner and fed Daxon Rudolph at the right point, who delivered a precise pass to Brayden Dube for a tip-in goal, marking Dube”s 20th goal this season.
At 14:34, Matyas Man initiated a play from his own zone, sending the puck up to Evan Smith. Smith quickly assisted Alisher Sarkenov, who broke away from the defense and scored his 11th goal by slipping the puck through the goaltender”s five-hole. The Raiders dominated the first period, limiting the Royals to just one shot on goal. After one period, the score stood at Raiders 3, Royals 0, with a shot count of 15-1 in favor of the Raiders.
The second period saw the Raiders strike again just 38 seconds in. Justice Christensen shot wide, but the puck rebounded to Daxon Rudolph, who sent it to Aiden Oiring for his 18th goal of the season. The Royals began to find their rhythm, reducing the deficit at 2:31 when Layne Schofield assisted Eli McKamey, who scored with a backhand shot over Michal Orsulak“s shoulder. The Royals added another goal at 12:13 through Henry Peterson, whose shot from the point was tipped in by Ashton Brown.
However, the Raiders responded to regain control. Late in the second period, Brayden Dube intercepted the puck at his own blue line and set up Brandon Gorzynski, who scored with a wrist shot over the shoulder for his 19th goal. After two periods, the score was Raiders 5, Royals 2, with the shot count at 21-8 overall.

In total, 16 players contributed points for the Raiders, with Aiden Oiring leading the way with two goals and two assists.
Notably, Brayden Dube sustained an awkward hit at the end of the second period and although he returned for the third period”s opening faceoff, he left the ice shortly after and did not return. The Raiders will take a break on Wednesday before embarking on a challenging stretch of three games in three nights, starting with a match in Moose Jaw on Thursday, followed by a game in Swift Current on Friday, and concluding with a home game against Medicine Hat on Saturday.
