Jarrett Stidham Offers Support to Injured Teammate Bo Nix Ahead of AFC Championship

Jarrett Stidham has publicly shared his thoughts on Bo Nix as the Denver Broncos gear up for the upcoming AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots. This comes after Nix suffered a fractured ankle during the thrilling Divisional Round victory against the Buffalo Bills.

Head coach Sean Payton confirmed the injury, which has sidelined Nix for the remainder of the season. With the team now focused on the AFC Championship, Stidham, who has not recorded any stats this season, is stepping into the starting role. He has been with the Broncos for the past two years, which should aid his transition into this critical matchup.

Stidham took the time during a media session to reflect on his close bond with Nix. “This is not about myself, first of all. Obviously, my thoughts and prayers have been with Bo since Saturday night. It”s crushing because he”s one of my best friends,” Stidham stated. He further noted, “Sam and I probably spend more time with him than his wife does right now, and that”s just the nature of the business we”re in.”

He added, “I see Bo more than I see my kids. You spend so much time with someone, you see how hard they work and how good of a teammate they are, and then something like that happens, and you”re just crushed.”

Taking on the Patriots will be a significant challenge for Stidham, especially considering the formidable defense they present, which forced five turnovers against the Texans in their last game. However, playing at home in Mile High Stadium may offer the Broncos an advantage, along with their experienced coaching staff.

The AFC Championship is set to kick off at 3 p.m. EST this Sunday, and the Broncos will rely on their defense and coaching as Stidham takes on this pivotal role.

As the team braces for this crucial game, the camaraderie and support among players like Stidham and Nix will be essential as they aim for success despite the odds stacked against them.
