The Los Angeles Chargers have broadened their search for a new defensive coordinator, interviewing two additional candidates on Monday. This brings the total number of candidates interviewed to six. Among those interviewed are safeties coach Adam Fuller and defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale.
Fuller, who joined the Chargers” coaching staff for the 2024 season, played a pivotal role in the development of standout players such as Derwin James Jr., who earned All-Pro honors, as well as Elijah Molden and Tony Jefferson. Additionally, he worked on the growth of rookie R.J. Mickens.
Before his NFL tenure, Fuller was a defensive coordinator at Florida State from 2020 to 2024 and at Memphis in 2019. He also held multiple roles at Marshall between 2013 and 2018, including assistant head coach.
