Pittsburgh Steelers Hire Adam Henry as New Wide Receivers Coach

The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced the hiring of Adam Henry as their new wide receivers coach. Henry previously held the same position with the Buffalo Bills until the recent coaching shakeup that saw Joe Brady take over as head coach.

During his time with the Bills from 2023 through the last season, Henry was known for his ability to prepare his players effectively, as evidenced by his work in the lead-up to games, such as the one against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 26, 2023, in Orchard Park, New York.

Prior to his stint with Buffalo, Henry made a name for himself at the collegiate level, particularly at LSU, where he coached standout wide receivers like Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. His success at LSU propelled him into the NFL, where he has worked with several teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants. He also served under Mike McCarthy with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 and 2021 before moving on from that role.

After a brief period as an offensive coordinator at Indiana, Henry, now 53, returns to the NFL to provide a new perspective to the Steelers” wide receivers. His hiring comes after Zach Azzanni, the previous wide receivers coach, was not retained by McCarthy”s new coaching staff.

The Steelers are actively reshaping their coaching staff, having already retained three assistants from Mike Tomlin“s regime, and the appointment of Henry signals their commitment to enhancing their offensive strategy.

As the Steelers prepare for the upcoming season, the addition of Henry is seen as a significant step in revitalizing the team”s receiving corps, aiming to improve their performance on the field.
