Avon Lake”s Aidan Stewart Decommits from Air Force Due to Medical Issues

Aidan Stewart, a wide receiver from Avon Lake, has decided to decommit from Air Force following a chronic knee injury sustained during Week 10 of the season. Stewart initially signed with the Falcons on December 3, alongside his teammate Max Riley, who committed to Ohio State.

On January 29, Stewart announced his decision to reopen his recruitment via social media platform X, stating, “Due to medical reasons, I have decommitted from Air Force. My recruitment has been reopened. Contact me or @coachkostelnik for information.”

Stewart joined Avon Lake with limited football experience, hailing from Australia. His impressive athleticism caught the attention of various college programs, including Air Force. Throughout his junior and senior seasons, he garnered All-Ohio honors, showcasing his skills on the field.

During his senior year, Stewart recorded 12 touchdowns and accumulated 641 receiving yards, earning the title of SWC Specialist of the Year. The Avon Lake football team finished the 2025 season with a record of 3-7, securing victories against Midview, Amherst, and Elyria.
