The Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Senior Men”s League showcased thrilling matches on Thursday night at the Plaisance Ground in East Coast Demerara, featuring a dominating performance from Northern Rangers FC and a hard-fought draw between Pele and Motherland.

In the first match of the evening, Northern Rangers FC showcased their superiority by dismantling ORDIS FC with a staggering score of 7-1, a contest that was virtually settled before halftime. The Rangers wasted no time in establishing their dominance, scoring their first goal just three minutes into the game, courtesy of Joel Leitch. They quickly added to their tally, with Kenneth Jackson netting a second goal in the ninth minute, which put his team firmly in control.

Despite a brief resurgence from ORDIS FC when Winston Pickette found the back of the net in the 22nd minute, it only served as a momentary distraction. The Rangers swiftly regained their momentum, scoring three more goals before the halftime whistle. Keron Keshawn struck in the 27th minute to extend the lead to 3-1, followed by Jackson completing his brace in the 38th minute. Brian Harris added another goal just a minute later, sending the Northern Rangers into halftime with an impressive 5-1 advantage.
