Rivera”s journey with Bad Bunny began in 2022 when the deaf community in Puerto Rico advocated for interpreters at concerts. After reaching out to his team regarding a concert stop in Puerto Rico, Rivera was selected for the role, which included interpreting during his residency in the island.
This historic moment takes place amidst ongoing tensions regarding immigration enforcement in the United States, a context that Rivera acknowledges. “The Latino people are very resilient,” she remarked. “Bad Bunny is spreading that the Latin community is strong and that they have the power.”
