President Tinubu Congratulates Nigerian Players After Super Bowl 60 Victory

In a recent statement, President Bola Tinubu congratulated players of Nigerian heritage after the Seattle Seahawks secured a 29–13 victory against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60, held at Levi”s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The announcement was made by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. President Tinubu expressed pride in the achievements of the players, noting the “pride and honour” they have brought to Nigeria.

Among those recognized were quarterback Jalen Oluwaseun Milroe, defensive standout Nick Emmanwori, veteran linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, linebacker Boye Maye, and offensive lineman Olu Oluwatimi. The President highlighted their pivotal roles in leading the team to its second Lombardi Trophy.

Tinubu emphasized that the players” accomplishments serve as a source of national pride, specifically commending Emmanwori, Nwosu, and Maye for raising Nigeria”s flag following the game. He remarked that this gesture symbolizes the honor they have conferred upon their homeland and reinforces the connection between the athletes and Nigeria.

The President also extended congratulations to Michael Onwenu of the Patriots, calling him “one of the most dominant offensive linemen,” despite his team”s loss in the championship.
