Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, made sure to celebrate Valentine”s Day with his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and their daughters. Despite recovering from a serious injury sustained during a game against the Chargers, he focused on his family during this special occasion.
Brittany shared on social media a glimpse of the Valentine”s Day gifts, posting a photo of their daughters holding flowers from their father. She also received a bouquet of her own. “Three sets of flowers for his three girls,” she wrote in her Instagram story, adding, “We love you” and tagging her husband.
Just a few days earlier, Brittany had taken to social media to express her excitement about celebrating her Sports Illustrated digital cover, alongside a community of models and with Patrick by her side. One follower commented, “Look at the size of Patrick”s smile. He is so proud and in love with you. Blessings always be with you and your family.” Another follower praised Brittany, saying, “You are so beautiful and a great representation of Kansas City. Get it girl.”
As for Mahomes, he continues his rehabilitation process after undergoing surgery for the ACL and LCL injury. He has set his sights on returning to the field for the Chiefs” first game of the upcoming NFL season. “I want to be ready for Week 1. The doctors said I could,” he stated in mid-January, according to ESPN. “But I can”t predict what happens throughout the process.”
He emphasized that his goal is to play without any restrictions, allowing him to perform at his best. “You want to be out there healthy and give us the best chance to win,” Mahomes noted, expressing his hopes for participation in offseason training activities and camp.
Mahomes has acknowledged that rehabilitation can be unpredictable. “What I”ve found out through this process is not every day is going to feel amazing,” he remarked. He stressed the importance of having a trusted team to push him while ensuring safety during his recovery.
On a positive note, Mahomes described his injury as serious yet manageable. “As bad as it was, it was as clean as it could be,” he added regarding the nature of his injury. He recognized the complexities surrounding knee injuries and is now focused on healing both the ACL and LCL.
