In recent weeks, Maxx Crosby has been a focal point of trade discussions in the NFL. Although it has been months since the star pass-rusher last played, speculation about his future has surged, particularly regarding a potential move from the Las Vegas Raiders.
While reports suggest that Crosby may be seeking a change from his struggling team, he has not confirmed any desire to be traded. Despite this uncertainty, multiple teams are expected to show interest if the Raiders decide to entertain trade offers. However, Aidan Hutchinson, a prominent defensive end for the Detroit Lions, seems skeptical about the likelihood of his team pursuing Crosby.
Hutchinson expressed enthusiasm about the idea of playing alongside a talent like Crosby, referring to it as “incredibly promising.” He noted, “That sounds like a dream scenario to be playing alongside a beast like that.” However, he also highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the trade, especially considering the statements made by the Lions” general manager regarding edge rushers.
The Lions were identified as a potential landing spot for Crosby, given his Michigan roots and favorable comments about Dan Campbell from the previous season. This connection seemed to make the possibility of a trade a natural fit. Nevertheless, any deal would likely require a substantial return, reminiscent of the trade that sent Micah Parsons to the Dallas Cowboys for two first-round picks and a starting-caliber player. It remains to be seen if Lions GM Brad Holmes would be willing to meet such demands.
Additionally, reports indicate that Crosby would also be interested in playing for Mike Vrabel, suggesting that the Raiders could have several potential suitors if they choose to move him.
