Mississippi State Gains Traction with Defensive Lineman Kaiden Robinson-Vickers

Mississippi State is making notable progress in its recruitment of defensive line target Kaiden Robinson-Vickers as his schedule for summer official visits takes shape. The standout from Dunnellon, Florida, has confirmed four official visits, and it appears the Bulldogs are solidly in contention and possibly gaining an advantage.

Robinson-Vickers” official visit lineup includes schools that have pursued him for a significant time: North Carolina, Miami, UCF, and Mississippi State. He is also arranging unofficial visits, with Florida being a potential candidate, but the primary group of schools is confirmed. His tour kicks off at North Carolina from May 29-31, where he received an offer last November and had a visit from Bill Belichick in January, a fact that understandably left an impression on him. “It”s a lot, honestly,” he remarked to 247Sports. “I just want to get over there and see how it is… Coach Belichick came down and saw me last month. It”s very unnerving. Now I feel like I can talk to him about stuff.”

Following his trip to North Carolina, Robinson-Vickers will visit Miami from June 5-7. He secured this date after receiving an offer from defensive line coach Damione Lewis in late January. “Just playing for coach D-Lew would be good,” he stated. “I love how he coaches. Those guys up front this year were very violent and you can tell they were ready.”

His next stop will be UCF from June 12-14. Robinson-Vickers has previously attended games there and has maintained a consistent relationship with defensive tackles coach Kenny Martin since receiving his offer last summer. However, it is the Mississippi State aspect of his recruitment that is particularly intriguing. The Bulldogs extended an offer early in September, and when Ty Warren took over as defensive line coach at the end of December, the message remained consistent. “Coach Ty Warren has known of me since before he got the Mississippi State job,” Robinson-Vickers explained. “I was offered there and he told me I was re-offered. Basically, as soon as he got the job, he offered and we are building our relationship. He said he”s ready to get things moving and hopefully get me up there.”

This continuity is what Mississippi State aims to establish along its defensive line, and Warren”s early outreach appears to be effective. Although Robinson-Vickers has not yet set a date for his official visit to Starkville, there is genuine mutual interest, and the trend is leaning positively for the Bulldogs. As a junior, he recorded 43 tackles, including 13.5 for loss and seven sacks, showcasing the type of production that has quickly filled his spring calendar with visits. While the upcoming visits will be telling, Mississippi State is positioned well among Robinson-Vickers” top choices, fostering a relationship with a coach he respects and preparing for a visit to Starkville that could significantly influence his recruitment.
