The Las Vegas Raiders are determined to revamp their offensive line this offseason, exploring every possible avenue to secure top talent. With a pressing need for experienced offensive linemen, the Raiders are poised to be highly active in both free agency and the NFL Draft.
According to league insider Chris Berry, the Raiders are set to “make a very strong run” at center Tyler Linderbaum, who is currently with the Baltimore Ravens but will enter free agency soon. Linderbaum is regarded as one of the premier free agents available this offseason, and numerous teams are expected to compete for his services. However, few franchises have the financial capacity of the Raiders to attract such high-profile talent.
In recent seasons, the performance of the Raiders” offensive line has been a significant concern, highlighted as the most critical issue for the team during the 2025 season. Addressing this position group is essential for the Raiders, and acquiring Linderbaum could provide a substantial improvement.
Before making any moves, the Raiders need to assess the status of offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson, who has the potential to play center. If Linderbaum is brought on board, Powers-Johnson could transition to offensive guard under the guidance of offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
Speaking at the NFL Combine, staff member Spytek shared insights into the Raiders” strategy for the offensive line. “Whoever the best five are, they”ll be out there, and I love Jackson . He had a hard season, obviously, for a lot of different reasons. He”s healthy now, and we”re going to talk to Klint and Rick Dennison and the O-line group, and we”ll figure out the best five to run with,” Spytek stated.
He emphasized the Raiders” open-minded approach for the offseason, stating, “We”re going to attack this entire offseason with an extremely open mind. And anybody that can help bolster that offensive line and do the job required will be considered. We have a lot of cap space; we”ve got some elite draft picks, and maybe adding a veteran presence in there or two would be helpful, but not necessarily an absolute necessity. We”re not going to begin with the end in mind.”
As the offseason progresses, the focus remains on how the Raiders will strategically enhance their offensive line to better position themselves for the upcoming season.
