The Columbus Aviators have officially announced the hiring of Todd Haley as the team”s inaugural offensive coordinator, along with Captain Munnerlyn taking the reins of the defense.
Head coach Ted Ginn Jr. expressed his confidence in Haley”s capabilities, stating, “Todd has tremendous experience in football, period. His knowledge in this game helps my whole coaching staff.” This marks a significant addition to the Aviators as they prepare for their upcoming season.
On the other side of the ball, Munnerlyn is relatively new to coaching. He and Ginn Jr. share a strong bond from their time together with the Carolina Panthers. Ginn Jr. remarked, “One of my good friends, my best friend from the league. He”s so eager, ready to do it.”
The Aviators are gearing up for their home opener, set for April 3rd at Historic Crew Stadium. Fans can currently purchase season tickets, which start at just $65 per seat.
In other local news, a cold weather advisory is in effect for Central Ohio, with wind chill temperatures expected to plummet as low as -15 degrees. Additionally, a recent ruling permits a township to add a small fee to the admission price of the Columbus Zoo, a measure allowed under a new law.
Stay tuned as the Aviators continue to finalize their coaching staff and prepare for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
