Eagles Begin Search for New Offensive Coordinator Following Patullo”s Departure

The Philadelphia Eagles have initiated their search for a new offensive coordinator after parting ways with Kevin Patullo. This move comes as Nick Sirianni prepares to enter his sixth season as head coach in 2025, marking the fifth offensive coordinator he will work with during his tenure, following Shane Steichen, Brian Johnson, Kellen Moore, and Patullo.

As the search unfolds, the Eagles have reportedly begun reaching out to potential candidates. Among those at the forefront of discussions are Mike McDaniel and Brian Daboll. Both coaches have experience as head coaches in the 2025 season, making them attractive options for the Eagles.

McDaniel, 42, previously served as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins for four seasons, finishing with a record of 35 wins and 33 losses. He has a strong background in the Shanahan offense, having worked as a run game coordinator and offensive coordinator under Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco. His tenure in Miami included the 2023 season where he collaborated with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, although that partnership lasted just one year.

Daboll, aged 50, was recently let go as head coach of the New York Giants, concluding his time there with a record of 20 wins, 40 losses, and 1 tie. He previously served as the offensive coordinator at Alabama in 2017, where he had the opportunity to coach quarterback Jalen Hurts. Additionally, Daboll has a rapport with Sirianni, having worked together when Daboll was the offensive coordinator in Kansas City during 2012, while Sirianni was a wide receivers coach.

As the Eagles move forward, the decision on their next offensive coordinator is crucial for establishing stability and enhancing their offensive strategy, especially as they look to improve following a challenging season.
