The Tennessee Volunteers recently welcomed several top football recruits to their campus during a game against the Oklahoma Sooners. Despite the Volunteers” loss, the recruits had a positive experience at the university. Among the visitors was Aroson Randle, a prominent linebacker prospect from North Carolina in the 2027 recruiting class. Following his multi-day trip to Knoxville, Randle spoke with Vols On SI to reflect on his visit.
Randle described the atmosphere at Tennessee, stating, “It”s a very personable place, we had a host, she took excellent care of us, everyone was welcoming, the atmosphere was electric, and although in a tough loss, the fans stayed from start to finish.” His enthusiasm continued as he discussed Neyland Stadium, saying, “I”ve always heard good things about Neyland Stadium so, being in the atmosphere is super incredible. And it definitely lived up to expectations.”
During his visit, Randle had the opportunity to connect with the coaching staff, including the linebackers coach, Coach Inge. “We just spent time getting to know each other, football or life in general,” Randle noted. The coaching staff made an effort to provide a more personal experience, inviting him back the following morning.
When asked about his commitment timeline, Randle indicated he has not made any decisions yet but is considering it. “I haven”t thought about that yet, but definitely sometime this summer,” he explained. As for what this visit means for the Volunteers, he remarked, “Definitely upper echelon, but that”s all I can say right now. And our plans to go back would definitely be in Spring or Summer.”
With Randle being one of the top prospects in his class, his visit to Tennessee could have significant implications for the Volunteers” recruitment efforts as they continue to build a competitive program.
