The 6-foot-2, 215-pound athlete announced his switch from West Virginia to Minnesota on Monday, following a visit during the Gophers” hard-fought 23-20 victory over Michigan State last weekend.
Walker, a three-star prospect with an impressive track record of over 5,000 career rushing yards, had initially committed to the Mountaineers in April. His decision to join the Gophers came after he experienced the vibrant atmosphere in Minneapolis during the recent game.

Earlier on the same day, Braiden Stevens, a receiver from Missouri, also pledged his commitment to Minnesota, further strengthening the Gophers” offensive lineup.
