THOMASVILLE, Ga. – In Week 14 of college football, several local players demonstrated their skills, contributing to both regular season and postseason performances.
Tywon Christopher of Kennesaw State excelled in his role as a starting linebacker. In the Owls” regular season finale against Liberty, he recorded a season-high 12 tackles, adding a sack and a tackle for loss to help secure a victory. The Owls are set to face Jacksonville State for the Conference USA Championship on Friday, December 5, at 7:00 PM.
Dezmond Jones from LaGrange College maintained his productive play despite the team”s second-round loss to Berry. He finished the game with seven tackles, marking the fourth time this season he reached that figure.
Kendarius Reddick from USC participated in the regular season finale against UCLA but did not register any statistics during the game.
Tyler Ivey and Evan Wynn, both former students from THS, played key roles in helping Albany State advance in the NCAA Division II playoffs. Wynn recorded a pass breakup, while Ivey continued to contribute on special teams. The Golden Rams will host Newberry College on Saturday, December 6, at 1:00 PM.
Malachi Thomas of the University of Pittsburgh saw action against Miami in the regular season finale but did not accumulate any statistics.
Gabe Harris Jr. from Georgia made impactful contributions in the Bulldogs” regular season finale against Georgia Tech. He finished with two tackles, one and a half tackles for loss, and two quarterback hurries, playing a significant part in the team”s victory. The Bulldogs will clash with Alabama in a rematch for the SEC Championship on Saturday, December 6, at 4:00 PM.
