Ohio State Remains at Top of CFP Rankings, Indiana and Texas A&M Follow

Ohio State has successfully maintained its position at the top of the College Football Playoff rankings for the second consecutive week, as announced on Tuesday evening. Following closely behind, Indiana holds the No. 2 spot despite a narrow victory in their previous game, while Texas A&M sits at No. 3 after winning comfortably.

The top five remains unchanged from last week, with Alabama and Georgia rounding out the list. In a notable shift, Texas Tech climbed two places to secure the No. 6 position, surpassing Mississippi, which fell to No. 7 despite a decisive win against Citadel.

Among the most significant movements in the rankings, Miami ascended three spots to No. 15, overtaking Georgia Tech to claim the Atlantic Coast Conference”s position in the projected 12-team playoff bracket. Meanwhile, South Florida earned the No. 24 ranking, which marks the 12th and final spot in this week”s projected playoff lineup.

Following Oregon at No. 8, Notre Dame and Texas occupy the next two slots. Oklahoma and BYU, ranked 11th and 12th respectively, find themselves just outside the playoff picture this week, primarily due to the automatic spots awarded to Miami from the ACC and the top Group of 5 team, which is South Florida.

The final rankings will be revealed on December 7, leading into the commencement of the 12-team playoff on December 19, culminating with the championship game in January.
