Ole Miss is making significant moves in the NCAA Transfer Portal as the team prepares for the upcoming season. They have secured a visit from Jayce Brown, a highly regarded wide receiver transfer from Kansas State. Brown is ranked as the third-best wide receiver in the transfer portal and is drawing interest from several top programs in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Standing at 6 feet and weighing 180 pounds, Brown hails from Florida and had an impressive junior season, recording 712 receiving yards on 41 catches, resulting in five touchdowns. Over his three-year career with the Wildcats, he accumulated more than 2,000 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns from over 100 receptions. As his transfer process heats up, he will be visiting Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, and Auburn.
With multiple wide receivers set to exhaust their eligibility by 2025, Pete Golding and his coaching staff are prioritizing playmakers for the 2026 season, making Brown a key target. Additionally, Tre Wisner, a running back from Texas, is also expected to visit Oxford soon. Wisner is ranked as the fourth-best running back in the transfer portal and has garnered interest from various SEC and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) schools.
In his time at Texas, the 6-foot, 195-pound Wisner totaled 1,734 rushing yards on 369 carries, averaging approximately 45.6 yards per game. He also contributed in the passing game, catching 66 passes for 457 yards and two touchdowns. After three seasons with the Longhorns, Wisner”s transfer process has reopened, with Ole Miss and Florida State emerging as early contenders for his commitment.
