Pitt Panthers Schedule Official Visit with 3-Star LB Zykee Scott

The Pitt Panthers have announced an official visit with three-star linebacker Zykee Scott, a native of Philadelphia and player from La Salle College. The visit is scheduled for June 18-20, as Scott revealed on March 6. He included Pitt in his final list of five schools on February 23.

Scott”s visit marks the 16th official visit scheduled with the Panthers this summer and the second from a player in Pennsylvania, following offensive lineman Jon Sassic from Central Catholic in Pittsburgh. Additionally, Scott is among the select few linebackers visiting, with Davon Smith from Houston, Texas, set to visit the week prior, from June 11-13.

According to both the 247Sports Composite and the Rivals Industry Ranking, Scott holds a three-star rating and is recognized as a top 15 player in Pennsylvania, a top 40 linebacker in his class, and a top 465 player nationally. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker recorded impressive statistics last season, including 58 tackles, nine tackles for loss, one forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a pass breakup as noted on his X account.

During his time at La Salle, Scott contributed significantly to the team”s successful 13-1 season, culminating in a victory over Central Catholic to claim the PIAA 6A state championship. The connection between Scott and Pitt has intensified over recent months, with the linebacker receiving an offer from defensive coordinator Cory Sanders on January 21, along with handwritten letters from the defensive coaching staff in June 2025.

In addition to Pitt, Scott”s other finalists include North Carolina, Michigan State, Tennessee, and Wake Forest. He is maintaining a busy schedule this spring with unofficial visits planned for Tennessee on March 21 and Michigan State on March 28. He has also arranged official visits with Michigan State from May 29-31 and North Carolina from June 12-14 before his trip to Pitt.
