As Super Bowl LX approaches, four dedicated individuals are set to mark a remarkable milestone by attending their 60th consecutive game. All four fans are present in San Francisco for this year”s event.
The trio of friends, Don Crisman, Gregory Eaton, and Tom Henschel, proudly refer to themselves as the “Never Missed a Super Bowl Club.” Their commitment to the championship started with the inaugural Super Bowl and has continued through the years. They gained recognition in a 2010 Visa commercial, although two members who appeared in that ad have since passed away. Nevertheless, Crisman, Eaton, and Henschel are still alive and enthusiastic about attending the Super Bowl every year.
The fourth member of this unique group is photographer John Biever, who has captured the essence of all 59 previous Super Bowls through his lens. Biever”s journey began when he was just 16 years old, assisting his father, Vernon Biever, a photographer for the Green Bay Packers, at Super Bowl I. Since then, he has established a successful career as a professional photographer, primarily contributing to Sports Illustrated and other major media outlets.
The NFL facilitates access for Crisman, Eaton, and Henschel by providing face-value tickets for each Super Bowl. Additionally, Biever receives a special photojournalist credential, allowing him to continue his legacy of documenting this iconic event.
As the countdown to Super Bowl LX continues, the presence of these four loyal attendees serves as a testament to the enduring spirit and tradition of the Super Bowl, celebrating not just the game itself but also the community it fosters among its most devoted fans.
