The NFL has officially announced that the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Washington Commanders will participate in the London games scheduled for 2026. However, the two teams will not face each other during these matchups.
Returning to London, the Jaguars will be involved in two of the international games, while the Commanders will partake in one. The specific opponents for these contests have yet to be revealed, with details expected to be announced closer to the release of the NFL”s full schedule.
The Jaguars have established a strong presence in London, having played a total of 14 games in the city since 2013. Of those matches, eleven were held at Wembley Stadium, and three took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. In 2026, the Jaguars are set to play at both venues once again.
Continuing a recent trend, the Jaguars will play their two London games in consecutive weeks for the third consecutive season. The specific weeks for their games in 2026 have not yet been disclosed.
For the Commanders, this will be their second appearance in London. The team has limited international experience, having previously participated in a game in Spain last season, where they narrowly lost 16-13 to the Miami Dolphins. Their only other international outing was in 2016 against the Cincinnati Bengals, which ended in a 27-27 tie.
In 2026, the Commanders will also play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The NFL is gearing up for a record nine international games that year, with more details being gradually released as the full schedule approaches. Recently, the league confirmed that the Detroit Lions will also compete in one of the Germany games in 2026. Other matchups, including the game in Australia featuring the San Francisco 49ers against the Los Angeles Rams, have not yet been fully unveiled.
