Patriots Super Bowl Week Schedule: Practices and Media Engagements

The New England Patriots are gearing up for their appearance in Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, February 8, in Santa Clara, California. Before the big game, the team has a packed schedule during Super Bowl week.

After a week of training in Foxboro, the Patriots departed from Gillette Stadium on Sunday, braving snowy conditions to head to California. Their departure was marked by a rally attended by numerous fans despite the cold. The team”s flight landed in sunny San Jose, where players and coaches were transported to their hotel.

Patriots Practice and Media Engagements

On Monday, the Patriots will hold a light practice at Stanford University, which serves as their training facility for the week. Head coach Mike Vrabel referred to this session as a bonus practice, allowing the players to conduct some drills and movement.

The spotlight will shine on both teams during Super Bowl Opening Night, taking place at the San Jose Convention Center that evening. This event features a media session where players and coaches from both teams are available to answer questions for one hour. Although most inquiries will be football-related, there are often unique questions from various media representatives. For instance, during the 2008 Super Bowl, an entertainment reporter from Mexico famously asked Tom Brady to marry her while wearing a wedding dress.

The Patriots” interview session is set for 8 to 9 PM Eastern Time, followed by the Seahawks from 10 to 11 PM. The players expected to take the podium include Hunter Henry, Drake Maye, Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, Stefon Diggs, Harold Landry, Robert Spillane, Vrabel, Milton Williams, Christian Gonzalez, and Marcus Jones. Other players and coaches will be available around the convention center.

Midweek Practices and Media Availability

The Patriots will not hold a practice on Tuesday. Instead, a media availability session featuring Vrabel and nine players is planned at the Santa Clara Marriott from 2 to 2:50 PM Eastern Time. Following this, the Seahawks will have their own media session from 3:40 to 4:30 PM.

On Wednesday, the Patriots will practice for the first time in California, with particular attention on Maye”s participation. The young quarterback had a limited practice last week due to a shoulder injury and missed Friday”s practice as he was reportedly unwell. According to Mike Reiss, Lindsay Jones of The Ringer will serve as the pool reporter for Patriots practice sessions starting Wednesday, responsible for relaying details to the media.

Additionally, on Wednesday, Vrabel along with assistant coaches and players will address the media from 11 AM to 12:15 PM, while the Seahawks will follow suit from 1:30 to 2:45 PM.

Final Preparations Before the Game

The final opportunity for fans to hear from the team before the showdown will be on Thursday, when the Patriots conduct another practice. The last media availability of the week for Vrabel, coaches, and players will also occur on this day from 11 AM to 12:15 PM.

On Friday, the Patriots will have their last open practice session of the week. The teams will conduct closed walkthroughs on Saturday as they finalize their preparations ahead of the Super Bowl. Super Bowl LX is set to kick off at 6:30 PM at Levi”s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers.
