The upcoming game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys on “Monday Night Football” at Allegiant Stadium has become the second most expensive ticket of the NFL season on the secondary market.
Despite both teams struggling this season, with the Raiders at 2-7 and the Cowboys at 3-5-1, the demand for tickets reflects the strong brands of these franchises rather than their current performance. According to the secondary ticket marketplace TickPick, the average purchase price for tickets to this game is $687. This figure has remained fairly consistent since the season began, having started at an average of $720 in early September.
The ticket prices for this matchup are 13 percent higher than the third most expensive game this season, which features the Detroit Lions versus the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day at Ford Field, averaging $609. The most expensive ticket listed this season on TickPick was for the game on September 4 between the Eagles and Cowboys, with an average price of $712.
Interestingly, nearly 20 percent of the sales for the Raiders-Cowboys game come from Texas, illustrating the Cowboys” strong fan base. Steve Hill, the president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, commented on the situation, saying, “That team travels exceptionally well, and that will be a really fun event. There”s also a lot of Cowboys fans here in Las Vegas, so the atmosphere will be spectacular.”
As of Thursday afternoon, the least expensive ticket available for this highly anticipated game was listed at $287, with approximately 6,473 tickets currently for sale. In contrast, tickets for the Raiders” next home game against the Cleveland Browns on November 23 are significantly cheaper, with a get-in price of $96.
