Cardinals Snap Losing Streak with Victory Over Cowboys

The Arizona Cardinals concluded a challenging five-game losing streak with a 27-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Texas. In the absence of starting quarterback Kyler Murray, backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett stepped up impressively, throwing for two touchdowns and adding another score on the ground.

Brissett, who has been named the starter for the third consecutive week due to Murray”s ongoing foot injury, expressed the difficulty of securing wins in the NFL, particularly on the road. “That”s what we do it for. It”s hard to win in the NFL,” he stated. “It”s harder to win on the road. It”s hard when things aren”t going your way and the outside noise drags you other places and stuff like that. When you don”t look for the results, the results find themselves, and you”ve just got to rely on the work.”

Despite Brissett”s standout performance, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon indicated that the team”s commitment to Murray as the starting quarterback would remain unchanged once he is healthy again.

Wide receiver Marvin Harrison made a significant contribution to the win with a career-high seven receptions for 96 yards, including a four-yard touchdown catch that opened the scoring. Additionally, tight end Trey McBride also made notable contributions to the offense.

With this victory, the Cardinals improved their record to 3-5, yet they still sit at the bottom of the NFC West. The Cowboys, on the other hand, are now at 3-5-1, maintaining their position in the second spot of the NFC East.
