Chase Brown Expresses Desire for Long-Term Commitment with Bengals

Chase Brown is preparing to enter the last season of his rookie contract as the new league year approaches in March. The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 6-11 season, and Brown”s performance was one of the few highlights.

In a recent piece by ESPN”s Ben Baby, Brown expressed his eagerness to solidify his future with the team that drafted him in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. “I would love to do something and be a part of this team,” he stated, emphasizing his desire to sign an extension this offseason. “I don”t want to go anywhere else.”

According to ESPN statistics, Brown led the Bengals in 2025 with 232 carries, accumulating 1,019 rushing yards and scoring six rushing touchdowns. He also ranked second on the team with 69 receptions and third with 437 receiving yards, contributing five receiving touchdowns to his impressive season.

Reflecting on his performance, Brown noted, “Experience always plays a factor and just getting more comfortable. And the coaches trusted me. More plays being called that are designed to go my way allowed me to make more plays. That played a huge, huge part in it.”

Despite the Bengals” history of hesitance to offer extensions to players still under contract, there is optimism surrounding Brown”s situation. The team has recently secured extensions for key players, including quarterback Joe Burrow, wide receiver Ja”Marr Chase, and wideout Tee Higgins. This suggests that the organization is willing to invest in its core talent.

Brown”s confidence in the leadership of head coach Zac Taylor and director of player personnel Duke Tobin is evident. He remarked, “I know (Taylor) and (Tobin) and everybody that makes those free agency decisions and drafting decisions will have the right mind and make the right decision for the team.”

As the Bengals look to improve their fortunes in the upcoming season, it remains to be seen how they will approach contract discussions with Brown and what steps they will take to ensure a more successful campaign.
