CINCINNATI — As the Cincinnati Bearcats prepare for their season finale against the TCU Horned Frogs, both teams have released their initial injury reports. The Bearcats have maintained a relatively healthy roster throughout the season, while TCU faces significant injury challenges.
TCU will be without its leading rusher, Kevorian Barnes, who has been ruled out for the game. Barnes has had a solid season with 97 carries for 443 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, safety Bud Clark, who has contributed four interceptions and 54 tackles, is listed as doubtful for the matchup.
On the other side, Cincinnati”s injury report is notably light, with Jiquan Sanks being the only significant player listed as probable. Head coach Scott Satterfield expressed optimism ahead of the game, emphasizing the importance of securing a win to improve the team”s morale and prospects moving forward.
Satterfield remarked, “I think it”s huge. Eight sounds a lot better than seven. As you head into signing day on Wednesday, and then as we”re starting to gather names for the portal, I think that”s huge, too.” He further noted the significance of winning against a strong TCU team, highlighting it as a chance for the Bearcats to demonstrate their resilience after dropping their last three games to formidable opponents.
“We didn”t finish the last few, so how can we go out, finish these games, and get this win?” Satterfield said. He added, “As you head into the off-season, bowl season, winning is just so much better,” pointing out that a victory would help create a positive atmosphere as the team looks to the future.
The Bearcats will face the Horned Frogs at 3:30 PM ET on Saturday, broadcasted on FOX. Fans can stay updated with the latest news, analysis, and more on Bearcats Talk, and check out their YouTube channel and podcast, “Bearcat Blitz,” available on multiple platforms.
