Chicago Bears running back D”Andre Swift is confirmed to be active and will take the field against the New York Giants at Soldier Field on Sunday. Swift”s participation comes after he missed the Bears” Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a groin injury.
Earlier in the week, it appeared Swift was on track for a return, as he fully participated in practice on Thursday following a limited session on Wednesday. However, his absence from practice on Friday due to personal reasons raised concerns, leading to his questionable status for the game.
Alongside Swift, the Bears announced that several players would not be active for the game. This list includes cornerback Josh Blackwell, wide receiver Jahdae Walker, linebacker T.J. Edwards, tight end Stephen Carlson, defensive end Dominique Robinson, and quarterback Case Keenum.
In contrast, the Giants will also be missing key players, including Paulson Adebo, Daniel Bellinger, Jermaine Eluemunor, Cor”Dale Flott, Chauncey Golston, Jevon Holland, and Jameis Winston, all of whom will not participate in the contest.
This matchup between the Bears and Giants promises to be pivotal as both teams look to improve their standings in the league. Swift”s return is expected to bolster the Bears” offensive efforts as they aim for a crucial victory at home.
