Deion Sanders is experiencing mixed emotions as he considers traveling to Las Vegas to support his son, Shedeur Sanders, in his debut as the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns this Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
On Thursday, Coach Prime expressed his desire to avoid being a “distraction” on such a significant day for his son. Nonetheless, his parental instincts tug at him to be present and cheer for the rookie quarterback. Last week, Shedeur took over for Dillon Gabriel in the second half after Gabriel sustained a concussion. In that game, Shedeur completed four of 16 passes for 47 yards, recording no touchdowns along with one interception and two sacks, resulting in a disappointing 23-16 loss at home.

During a recent press conference, Raiders rookie running back Ashton Jeanty issued a warning to Shedeur ahead of his first game as QB1 for the Browns. Jeanty, who is a recipient of the 2024 Doak Walker Award, highlighted that this presents a “great opportunity” for Sanders to establish himself in the NFL. However, he also pointed out that the Raiders” defense will not make it an easy outing for the young quarterback.
