De”Von Achane Emerges as Miami Dolphins” Most Valuable Player

The Miami Dolphins are facing a tough season, currently sitting at a disappointing 3-7 after week 10. While the postseason seems increasingly unlikely, the season is not without its bright spots, particularly the performance of De”Von Achane.

Now in his third year with the Dolphins, Achane has established himself as a pivotal player on offense. The former third-round selection from Texas A&M has demonstrated exceptional skill both as a rusher and a receiver throughout the 2025 season. Through ten games, the 24-year-old ranks seventh in the NFL for rushing yards with 780 and has accumulated the twelfth most carries at 143.

In addition to his rushing success, Achane has also excelled in the passing game, recording 49 receptions for 325 yards and four touchdowns. His averages stand at an impressive 5.5 yards per carry and 6.6 yards per reception. These statistics are particularly noteworthy considering Achane has been operating without two of the Dolphins” key offensive weapons: Tyreek Hill and Darren Waller.

With the Dolphins” other running backs being a rookie, Ollie Gordon, and a second-year player, Jaylen Wright, who has seen limited action, Achane has taken on the majority of the rushing responsibilities. Remarkably, he stands at just 5 feet 9 inches and weighs 191 pounds, yet he has proven to be more than capable of handling the demands of a feature back.

Recent performances highlight Achane”s growing impact on the team. In the latest victory against Buffalo, he recorded 175 rushing yards on 22 carries and added 51 yards through six receptions. This marked his fifth consecutive game with at least 67 rushing yards and his second straight game with six receptions.

Despite concerns from analysts about his size and durability, Achane continues to impress and demonstrates that he can withstand the rigors of being the primary running back. As the Dolphins aim to revive their playoff hopes, they will undoubtedly rely heavily on Achane”s contributions as the season progresses.
