Diboll and Huntington Players Earn All-District Honors in 9-3A DI

The Diboll and Huntington high school football teams have received significant recognition for their performances this season, with several players named to the 9-3A DI All-District Football Team.

Diboll led the way with four players earning first-team honors. Among them were junior Tyrece McMillan, who excelled as both a wide receiver and defensive back, and junior Kevi Dill, also a receiver. Senior Eli Terrell was recognized for his role as an H-back. Additionally, offensive lineman Micah Ibarra from Diboll earned the title of Freshman of the Year, highlighting his impressive debut season.

On the other hand, Huntington was represented by two first-team selections: junior defensive lineman Marshall Clifton and senior center Cade Forrest.

Second-team honors for Diboll featured junior Erin Robbins at cornerback and senior Ja”Marcus Nieves at defensive end. Other second-team selections included sophomore Christian Prieto at center, junior Kade Jordan on the offensive line, and junior Zander Arambula at running back. For Huntington, the second-team players were senior running back Brandt Kovar and senior outside linebacker Caydin Vanhowten.

Diboll also saw several players earn honorable mention. The list includes junior wide receiver Aiden Morris, senior linebacker Luis Arambula, junior offensive lineman Andres Montoya, senior defensive end Barret Price, and junior quarterback Rylie Arambula. Honorable mentions for Huntington involved senior offensive lineman Solomon Reid, junior outside linebacker Jayden Flores, junior offensive lineman Ely Shaffer, junior outside linebacker Slade Holiday, senior wide receiver Matteo Markley, freshman quarterback Wyatt Stover, and junior defensive back Kason Oliver.

This recognition reflects the hard work and talent displayed by these players throughout the season, contributing to their teams” competitive spirit in the district.
