Dylan Raiola”s Future at Oregon Uncertain Amid Dante Moore”s Decision

The potential transfer of five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola to Oregon appears to be independent of Dante Moore“s forthcoming decision about the NFL Draft. As Brendan Sorsby has already secured a new program after leaving Nebraska, Raiola stands out as a prominent figure in the transfer portal.

Having spent two years with Nebraska, Raiola is actively exploring his options and has begun visiting various schools, including Oregon. According to CBS Sports insider Chris Hummer, Raiola”s visit comes amid uncertainty regarding Oregon”s quarterback situation, particularly concerning Moore”s intentions. Moore has yet to announce whether he will declare for the draft or return for another season.

Despite this ambiguity, sources suggest that Moore”s decision may not significantly influence Raiola”s choice. Hummer noted on social media that it is feasible for Raiola to join Oregon even if Moore opts to stay in college. In such a case, Raiola might take a redshirt year, allowing him to prepare for the possibility of being the Ducks” starting quarterback in 2027.

Both Moore and Raiola have two years of eligibility left, which opens up various scenarios for Raiola. He could either compete with Moore for the starting position or choose to sit behind him for a year, ensuring a solid foundation for his future at Oregon.

During his time with the Cornhuskers, Raiola accumulated impressive statistics, throwing for 4,819 yards, with 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions, while achieving a completion rate of 69.1 percent, according to Sports Reference. Meanwhile, Moore is projected to be a top-two pick in the upcoming draft, despite facing challenges during his recent Peach Bowl performance against Indiana.
