Jaguars” Offensive Line Shines in Win Over Chargers

The Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line delivered an impressive performance in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers, contributing significantly to a commanding 35-6 victory.

In this game, the line showcased its strength by allowing zero sacks and only seven pressures on quarterback Trevor Lawrence. This marked one of their best outings of the season, despite being without right tackle Anton Harrison. The rushing attack was equally effective, resulting in four touchdowns and nearly 200 rushing yards, highlighting a dominant offensive performance.

The offensive line received high praise, earning the distinction from Pro Football Focus (PFF) for its performance. “The Jaguars offensive line did an excellent job keeping Trevor Lawrence clean this week, allowing just four pressures across 26 pass-blocking snaps,” PFF noted. The team averaged 4.1 yards per carry, accumulating 192 rushing yards.

Left guard Ezra Cleveland stood out in particular, being recognized as the top left guard of Week 11. Having missed the previous game due to injury, Cleveland made a significant impact upon his return against the Chargers. His aggressive and explosive play style was evident throughout the game.

Head coach Liam Coen expressed his pride in Cleveland”s performance, stating, “Yeah, really proud of Ezra. We needed him. He responded, he”s violent. He wants to play, he”s explosive. He is one of our most explosive players on the team.” Coen highlighted Cleveland”s ability to finish plays strong, especially during the crucial final drive of the game.

With a current record of 6-4, the Jaguars are looking to maintain their momentum as they prepare for an important matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12. The effectiveness of the offensive line will be critical as they aim to build on this positive performance.
