Jaxson Dart to Miss Game Against Packers Due to Concussion Protocol

The New York Giants have announced that quarterback Jaxson Dart will not play in the upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers. This marks Dart”s first missed game of the season as he has been placed in the NFL”s concussion protocol. He sustained a head injury during the Giants” 24-10 defeat to the Chicago Bears in Week 10, leaving the game late in the third quarter and subsequently being ruled out after the concussion diagnosis.

In Dart”s absence, backup quarterback James Watson will take the starting role against Green Bay, with another player serving as his backup. There had been some hope for Dart”s quick recovery; however, medical advice dictates that he should refrain from activity for at least a week to mitigate any further risks to his health.

So far this season, Dart has played in nine games, completing 128 of 204 passes for 1,417 yards, along with 57 carries for 317 yards and seven rushing touchdowns. He is expected to make his return in Week 12 against the Detroit Lions.

Beyond the field, Jaxson Dart has demonstrated that his life encompasses more than just football. In 2024, he signed a historic name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal with a private membership-based company, which provides him access to the company”s entire fleet of jets for personal use. As Christmas approaches, Dart is also stepping up as the face of a donation campaign aimed at supporting children in need, promoting toy deliveries to brighten their holidays.
