LSU Freshman Wide Receiver Impresses During Spring Camp

Jabari Mack, a true freshman wide receiver for the LSU Tigers, is already making waves during the team”s Spring Camp. After committing to Lane Kiffin and the Tigers in December, Mack has quickly established himself as a standout player in Baton Rouge.

The Destrehan product was rated as the top wide receiver in Louisiana and joined the Tigers as an early enrollee, arriving on campus in January. Standing at 6 feet and weighing 200 pounds, Mack has showcased his remarkable speed and athleticism, which have caught the attention of the LSU coaching staff. During offseason training, he recorded an impressive top speed of 22.2 mph, ranking him second among LSU wide receivers, just behind Phillip Wright III, who clocked in at 22.7 mph.

As the Spring Camp progresses, Mack”s on-field performance continues to generate excitement. In the first week alone, he made headlines with an incredible one-handed catch that has gone viral on social media. His ability to make dynamic plays has set the tone for an invigorating Spring Camp.

This offseason, LSU has revamped its receiving corps, bringing in nine transfer players alongside three new additions from the 2026 Signing Class. Currently, Phillip Wright III is the only returning wide receiver from the previous year”s roster. Among the new additions are Tre Brown from Old Dominion, Eugene “Tre” Wilson from Florida, Malik Elzy from Illinois, and Winston Watkins from Ole Miss.

The integration of fresh talent is crucial for the Tigers as they look to enhance their offensive strategies moving forward.
