Rams Re-sign Safety Kam Curl to Three-Year, $36 Million Deal

The Los Angeles Rams have officially re-signed safety Kam Curl to a three-year contract worth $36 million, as confirmed by a source to ESPN on Friday. This marks the second significant move for the Rams” secondary within the week.

Earlier, the Rams made headlines by trading for Trent McDuffie, a cornerback from the Kansas City Chiefs and a 2023 All-Pro, in exchange for the No. 29 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, among other selections, as reported by ESPN”s Adam Schefter.

Originally drafted in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders, Curl has spent the last two seasons with the Rams after signing a two-year, $8.75 million contract in 2024. The 26-year-old defensive back recorded career-highs in total tackles (122) and solo tackles (79) during the 2025 season. He also made two interceptions in the regular season and one during the playoffs, playing a crucial role in leading the Rams to the NFC Championship Game.

In a memorable moment during the divisional round of the playoffs, Curl intercepted Caleb Williams, the quarterback of the Chicago Bears, in overtime with the game tied. This pivotal play set up a game-winning field goal for the Rams on their subsequent drive.

Throughout his 93-game regular-season career, Curl has amassed five interceptions, eight sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and 28 passes defended. The news of Curl”s re-signing was first reported by NFL Network, with contributions to the report from ESPN”s Sarah Barshop.
