Seahawks Shine in Initial Pro Bowl Voting Results

The first round of NFL Pro Bowl voting results has been released, showcasing a strong showing from Seattle Seahawks players. Traditionally, Seahawks fans have been frustrated by perceived disrespect in these voting outcomes, but this year tells a different story as the team boasts a 9-3 record.

Leading the charge is Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who currently holds the top spot in the league for wide receiver votes. Following closely is Byron Murphy II, ranking second among defensive tackles, and Grey Zabel, who sits in third place for guards. The offensive lineup also features Sam Darnold in tenth for quarterbacks and Olu Oluwatimi at center, also in tenth place. Additionally, fullback Robbie Ouzts ranks tenth in his position.

Interestingly, some notable players such as offensive tackle Charles Cross and tight end AJ Barner have not made the initial list of top-voted players. On the defensive side, Leonard Williams is positioned ninth among defensive ends, while DeMarcus Lawrence follows closely in tenth. Outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is also in tenth place, and free safety Coby Bryant stands in sixth overall.

The Seahawks” defense has been exceptional this season, which may explain the surprise omissions from this initial voting round, with the exclusion of linebacker Ernest Jones being particularly notable. On special teams, kicker Jason Myers is currently third in the league, with punter Michael Dickson in tenth and long snapper Chris Stoll in fourth. Special teamer Brady Russell is also fourth.

This is just the beginning, and there is ample opportunity for Seahawks fans to continue to support their players by casting votes in hopes of securing a strong representation in the Pro Bowl. However, both fans and players would prefer to see their team competing in a different bowl game come February.
