Shedeur Sanders Surprises Fans with Pro Bowl Voting Ahead of Bo Nix

The voting results for the prestigious Pro Bowl have taken many by surprise as Shedeur Sanders has topped Bo Nix in fan ballots, despite the contrasting fortunes of their respective teams in the 2025 NFL season.

The Denver Broncos, with Nix as their quarterback, have performed exceptionally well, boasting the best record in the AFC after 15 weeks. Nix has led the Broncos to clinch a playoff spot and is considered a strong contender for Super Bowl success.

In stark contrast, the Cleveland Browns have struggled this season, sitting at the bottom of their division with a disappointing 3-11 record. After finally getting his chance as the starting quarterback in Week 11, Sanders has started every game since, leading the Browns to a 1-3 record during that stretch.

Despite his team”s struggles, Sanders has garnered significant fan support in the Pro Bowl voting, which opened on Thanksgiving and concluded on December 15. Fans were able to vote multiple times across various platforms to help shape the rosters for the Pro Bowl Games scheduled for February.

On December 15, NFL Insider Tom Pelissero revealed the results, showing Sanders ranked 10th among quarterbacks in votes, while Nix surprisingly did not make the top 10 list at all. As of now, Sanders has recorded 946 passing yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions, resulting in a low average QBR of 16.9, yet his Pro Bowl votes have surpassed those of Nix.

The revealed top 10 quarterback vote-getters include:

  • Drake Maye – New England Patriots
  • Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills
  • Matthew Stafford – Los Angeles Rams
  • Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys
  • Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs
  • Jordan Love – Green Bay Packers
  • Caleb Williams – Chicago Bears
  • Jared Goff – Detroit Lions
  • Sam Darnold – Seattle Seahawks
  • Shedeur Sanders – Cleveland Browns

Meanwhile, Nix has impressive stats this season with 3,256 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, along with a QBR of 59.1. Fans have expressed disbelief over the Pro Bowl voting results, with many criticizing the decision to allow public voting. Comments on social media reflected their frustration, with one user saying, “This is why letting fans vote for this is silly,” while another stated, “Shedeur over Bo Nix? Yo, who is in charge of these polls?” A third fan remarked, “Shedeur has two starts already where his passer rating would”ve been higher if he had spiked the ball every play. ABSURD.”

Overall, the Pro Bowl voting has stirred up considerable debate among fans, particularly regarding Sanders”s inclusion despite his less favorable statistics compared to Nix. The Pro Bowl Games will take place in the San Francisco Bay Area, featuring a flag football matchup between the AFC and NFC on February 3, just before Super Bowl LX.

The outcome of the Pro Bowl voting may reflect the public sentiment, but for Nix, his focus likely remains on leading the Broncos to a potential Super Bowl appearance.
