Simone Biles Proudly Supports Jonathan Owens After Colts Signing

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles expressed her pride and support for her husband, Jonathan Owens, after he signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts. In a post on her Instagram Stories on March 13, Biles wrote, “No Friday the 13th scaries here. So proud of you, baby.”

Owens, a safety in the NFL, has previously played for the Houston Texans and the Green Bay Packers. He dedicated the entire 2025-2026 season to the Chicago Bears, where Biles frequently showcased her support by dressing in custom gear on the sidelines. In a TikTok video from October 2025, she shared, “I”m obviously getting glammed by the dream team,” praising her stylist team.

Biles highlighted Owens” journey, noting that he is an undrafted player from Division II college football, marking his eighth year in the league. She reflected on how Owens has exceeded expectations, given that he was not selected during the NFL Draft. “He”s broken down barriers,” she stated, explaining that being undrafted means players are free to sign with any team as undrafted free agents.

During his time with the Bears, Biles celebrated their success, declaring, “Another Bears win, well-deserved! Proud wife. Four in a row — that”s my man.” After growing up in Missouri, Owens started his professional career with the Texans. The couple first connected on the dating app Raya in 2020, a time when the pandemic had restricted many aspects of life. Owens recounted to Texas Monthly in 2021 that the lockdown allowed them to truly get to know one another, strengthening their bond.

Initially, Owens was unaware of Biles” illustrious career, but their personal connection blossomed. He has become a steadfast supporter of Biles, both before and after their wedding in 2023. “It is not much motivation you need to do, just because you don”t want to put extra, added pressure on anyone. I just tell her, “Go do your thing, baby,”” Owens shared with Us Weekly regarding how he cheers her on during gymnastic competitions.

He added, “I”ve played a lot better since,” acknowledging that his focus has improved. Their relationship dynamics include sharing daily experiences and spending quality time with their dogs, which Owens described as “our thing.”
