T.J. Edwards Out for Postseason with Fractured Fibula

Chicago linebacker T.J. Edwards will be sidelined for the remainder of the postseason following a fractured fibula he sustained during a pivotal moment in the game. The injury occurred in the second quarter of the Bears” remarkable 31-27 comeback victory against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night at Soldier Field.

During the game, Edwards was injured as he made a cutback while the Bears were on their second defensive series. He fell away from the play and was in evident distress, prompting safety Jaquan Brisker to signal for medical assistance. Edwards was subsequently helped off the field and carted to the locker room.

Head coach Ben Johnson confirmed the severity of the injury, stating that it is a fractured fibula, which will prevent Edwards from participating in the Bears” upcoming playoff games, including their next matchup in the divisional round.

In Edwards” absence, D”Marco Jackson stepped in during the game and recorded five tackles, one of which was for a loss, contributing to the team”s defensive efforts.
