On “The Craig Carton Show,” radio personality Craig Carton discussed the speculation about Kelce”s potential move. He stated, “The rumor is that Travis Kelce wants to come back for another year… Kelce wants to play for the NY Giants!” Carton also pointed out that such a transition would enable Kelce and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, to reside in New York.
While the rumor has garnered attention, Carton advised caution, noting that it remains unconfirmed. “It”s just a rumor — do not sleep on the Giants signing Kelce this offseason,” he remarked.
Kelce”s future remains uncertain as he weighs the possibility of retirement against the desire to return for another season. In a recent interview, he indicated that he might reach a decision by the end of the current season, potentially in early March, ahead of the NFL free agency period. “I want to give the Chiefs a good opportunity, whether I come back or not — or whether they want me back or not,” Kelce explained. He expressed a desire to finalize his decision before the team needs to make roster changes through draft picks and free agency.
In a previous appearance on the “New Heights” podcast, Kelce conveyed his ongoing passion for the game but acknowledged that his decision would be influenced by the results of his physical evaluations. “It”s a tough thing to navigate, but at the same time, if my body can heal up and rest up, and I can feel confident that I can go out there and give it another 18, 20, 21-week run, I think I would do it in a heartbeat,” he stated.
